RUN YOUR BODY - FEED YOUR SOUL
The Shores of Lake Ontario and the beauty of Sandbanks Park greet your 4 day/3night stay in Prince Edward County. In the "gastronomic capitol of Ontario", wineries, a cheese festival, quaint towns, farms stands and the Millennium trail make "the county" the perfect place for your retreat. Life is crazy and busy and wonderful and overwhelming. RunWest Retreat carves out the space for you to step away from the noise, check in with yourself and breathe.

As the sun rises, your day will begin with yoga by Michelle from Yoga for Runners . Your guided daily runs will cover the 49km trail over the course of the weekend with the highlight being a section run during the Terroir Run.  Being a part of the Terroir Run is highly sought after experience on it's own an exciting addition to an already great weekend - think running from winery to winery with a curated gourmet meal with the areas top chefs at the finish.

Each day will bring a different adventure, relaxation and exploration.  We'll take time to look within through mindfulness and goal setting and continue to nurture self care with recovery Yoga. After some time at the lake we'll explore other parts of the county through various outings and dinners such as the Drake Devonshire. We'll begin our first night with the Founder of the Terroir Run and speaker Rebecca LeHeup as we enjoy a culinary adventure with one of the areas top chefs, Karin DesVeaux.

Grab a friend or come on your own and meet new ones, this weekend is going to combine all the things that bring us together, running, yoga, wine, great food, lakes, laughs and amazing people. As for your running...all levels are welcome. We'll meet you wherever you are and help you get to wherever you want to be.

Meet The Team

Courtney Babcock

Founder:
I started these retreats to bring women together under the mutual interest of running. During our first retreat many women had never been away from their kids or taken time to be with their friends on a different level, just taking time for themselves. Our motto was self care, as busy life gets in the way. My hope is that you leave feeling a little more inspired, having laughed a little more, being a little more in nature and feeling like a little better you.
Quick Bio:
I am a former pro, Olympian, Masters World Champ. I love passing on the knowledge I gained from being able to not just train but travel the world and work with the best coaches and physios in the sport.

Yoga for Runners

Michelle: Yoga Instructor

Christine Felstead started Yoga for Runners and Michelle is bringing her teachings to the Retreat at PEC. Her teaching incorporates Christines's personal experiences, focussing on alignment and increasing the range of motion in the body. Inspired by her love of running, Christine's work with runners aims to keep students healthy and on the road, so each of us can continue to enjoy our journey, no finish line in sight.

Whitney Babcock

Mindfulness and Goal Setting:

Whitney (yes Courtney's sister:) is a registered psychotherapist  who lives in nearby Kingston. Whitney will lead the minfulness piece of the weekend.

She currently provides personal counselling at Queens University as well as with her private practice, Inner Matters. You can learn more about Whitney @ www.innermatters.ca
