Key Retreats Costa Brava, an adventure of a lifetime. We'll start your retreat by heading directly  north to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea in Aigua Blava. Your villa sits right on the Cami de Ronda (the trail that we will run in sections throughout the retreat) , where you'll enjoy views of the sea over the negative edge pool. Your private path will take you right to the beach.
 
As the sun rises, your day will begin with stretching with Courtney.  A late breakfast will be served and expect a running start time of around 10am. Chef Christian, your own private chef will provide regional dishes of paella, tapas and other local healthy meals.
Your guided daily runs will cover various sections of the Cami de Ronda. And we'll enjoy a day in Girona. If you can run or run/walk about a 10:00pace for an hour or are in decent shape (most of you are fitter than you think:) you'll be good for this retreat. We will run between 4miles and 12miles everyday with lots of stops for pictures and sightseeing and water. On the longer days we will even stop for snacks and lunch.
We'll end the retreat with one night in Barcelona exploring the sites with a run through the city. 
Don't think you're a runner? You're not alone most people don't and everyone is worried about being last. But if you run, you're a runner and we regroup often. I know you'll enjoy it but if in doubt if you can keep up, please get a hold of Courtney to help you decide. 
 
Each day will bring a different adventure, a new village, relaxation and exploration.  
 Grab a friend or come on your own and meet new ones, this week is going to combine all the things that bring us together, running, travel, yoga, great food, laughs and amazing people.

The Cami de Ronda is a coastal and inland trail that we will cover in sections of 4 miles up to about 12 miles. Local guides will lead us on a 2 days and take us through the magical places the region has to offer.   
A local yoga instructor will join us at the Villa for 1-2 yoga sessions during your stay. 
Self Care is a continuous theme at Key Retreats. Reconnect with a guided session on goal setting and finding ways to win your inner battles with Courtney 
ONE NIGHT IN BARCELONA

All Meals in Costa Brava with the exception of a few lunches will be prepared by Christian your own personal chef.

running information

  • Running Level - Intermediate   If you can run 10:00 or faster on your easy runs for about an hour than this retreat is good for you! That said we will not run for an hour straight as we will stop for photos, water, snacks and when it's a  steep hill we'll hike. Running is about taking it all in not performance.

  • Trail Runs - Most of the runs with the exception of Barcelona and Girona will be on trails. Some are wide and flat and some are single track and hilly.

Meet The Team

Courtney Babcock

Founder:
 If there is one thing Courtney loves as much as running it's travel and bringing women together. She will lead all the runs during the retreat. Key Retreats is a way to check in with yourself, explore new places and connect with women on a shared adventure. We are brought together by running but the word retreat is an important part of your week. Relax, renew, refresh...Key Retreats.
Quick Bio: 
Courtney is a former pro, Olympian, Masters World Champ. But don't be intimidated. She loves to bring all levels of runners together and meet you where you are. The journey of running, what we learn about ourselves, who we meet and what we get to see is the focus of what Courtney brings to the retreats. Courtney is a mom of 2 boys, a wife and sometimes interior designer! She lives in Missoula Montana. 

Chef Christian

Chef Christian will enhance your retreat with each bite of his amazing culinary delights. The meals he prepares will be healthy and delicious as well as incorporate regional specialties including Paella. 
Christian was a part of the Mallorca Key Retreat and he was amazing.
